Vote "Yes" on Proposition 8!!

I'm not usually a political person; in fact, I try to keep as far away from politics as I can. Usually. But living in California has changed that for me. Coming up on November 4th, we will be voting once again for a new president to lead our country, as well as many other key people to represent us in government. I hope you are all voting, but I hope especially that all those registered in California will vote. I have been working closely with the campaign "Yes on Proposition 8" here in Seaside, Ca. Our prophet, President Monson, has encouraged us to be as involved as we can as members of the Church to fight this issue. Tithing and donations have been given to support this campaign to protect our families. The state of California is voting on Proposition 8, which says that marriage will ONLY be recognized between a man and a woman. Gay marriage will not be accepted by law if we vote yes to make this an ammendment to the California state constitution. I have been making phone calls to pages and pages of people to inform and encourage them to vote yes. Members of my ward even stood with posters last weekend in Monterey for the campaign to protect families. Believe me, there are many who oppose this great cause. I have seen the works of the adversary to destroy the family first hand more than I ever have here the past few months. We must protect our families by voting! We cannot stand by and do nothing!
