August!

The first day of school for Connell (5th) and Callister (1st) was August 28th. They are attending Alturas International Charter School for the second year. This year, they got a newly remodeled building and a new playground!

We repainted the deck this summer, since we were refinancing the house and it was a requirement for our VA loan. It looks so much better!

We also hired a guy to redo the steps to our "second den" in the garage. It's JayC's game room/man cave. It's much safer now, and I don't have to worry about the kids falling off the side.

We started doing the CTR challenges in the Friend magazine each month for Family Home Evenings. The kids enjoyed this one a lot. 

We experienced the full solar eclipse on August 21! Such a cool experience! We made masks, so the kids could use the eclipse glasses without looking directly at the sun. It went fully dark and cold in the middle of the day. It was pretty creepy! But very awesome!
