JayC's Graduation!

This is what Connell was doing as I attempted to pack a few things this week!

What a relief that JayC is finally done with training status in the Air Force after 2 years! He's very relieved. I'm so proud of him for doing so well! He even got Honor Graduate for getting good grades! So from here he starts his follow-up 3 week course to prepare him for his next base (Beale AFB) where he'll start his Geospacial Intelligence Specialist job. We'll be leaving Texas on February 27th and going to Idaho for a month where JayC will work two weeks as a Recruiter's Assistant and enjoy some much-needed vacation! We're excited to see family and friends in Idaho!

In the mean time, we found out that JayC has another hernia and will need surgery to fix it on the 11th. Luckily, it falls on a 4-day weekend, so he will have time to rest and recover. He's actually had this hernia as long as the other one he got fixed; they just didnt see this one at the time. Hopefully this will take care of the constant pain he's been having in his stomach. And hopefully no more surgeries! I'm thankful for good Texas doctors that are able to see things other doctors couldn't. I love the ward we're in here and I've made so many good friends that I will miss when we leave. Luckily a lot of them are also in the Air Force and we'll keep in touch, and maybe even run into again someday. It's a small world in the Church and in the Air Force! I'm so thankful for our blessings already this year!
