Children's Christmas Party

We were able to go to the Beale AFB Children's Christmas party yesterday. The boys were given presents and we enjoyed refreshments while waiting for Santa to arrive. After they opened the hangar doors, it started raining, and then it actually started snowing miniature round snow balls! It was basically soft hail, but it was so magical waiting for Santa while it was 'snowing.' Then he arrived in a jet. So cool! 

It was a nice ending to the roughest week we've had for awhile. Connell had a fever and Callister had the stomach flu all night on Monday, then Connell was sick off and on with a fever all week long. Thursday night, I was lucky enough to share in the stomach flu experience all night long...but luckily by Saturday we were all feeling pretty close to our old selves. I sure don't enjoy having sick kids or being sick myself...luckily it only happens once or twice a year.    

We love Santa!
