The holidays have come and gone and now it's time to catch up! One of my new year resolutions is to post on here at least once a month with new pictures. We're waiting on some rebates to hopefully buy a new digital camera, so it should be easier once we get one. And to start out the new year with a "bang", our car broke down in Mesquite, NV on our drive home from celebrating the holidays in Idaho with our families! We drove 8 hours and had a hotel reserved for the night in Mesquite, and our Chevy Aveo quit as soon as we exited and were about half a mile from the hotel. Pretty ironic! Our timing belt broke, so we're lucky it happened at a stop sign rather than on the freeway going 80 miles an hour. We waited in Mesquite all day while our timing belt was getting fixed, and then it turned out that there are more problems with my little car. JayC had to be back by Saturday at 1pm to report for duty, so we got a rental and drove the 8 hours home so he could make it. We're going back this Saturday to pick up our car, which hopefully won't cost an arm and a leg to fix. (Thank goodness for generous family members who are helping.) We're thankful that we are safe and made it home ok, and wish us luck in beginning the search for a new vehicle... (I guess the time had to come eventually!) New family pictures are forthcoming, but here are some from Thanksgiving weekend. Best wishes on new adventures in the new year!

Don't know about Mesquite, NV, but we were once stuck in Battle Mountain, NV!!! Our UHaul broke down just we were heading up to Idaho after being married for a few weeks! So we feel your pain. Sounds (and looks) like you had a great Christmas holiday... Conner is growing up to be a handsome little man. Great Pics!!! We would love to met JayC and Conner. Any plans to come to AZ in your family's future??? Maybe we'll get a chance to get together someday. Manda and I love reading your blog!

I hope everything works out with your car! My sister's car clutch went out on them 3 hours from home, and our van has been in the shop for 2 weeks getting the transmission fixed!
That is fun that you found those pictures from Disneyworld. YEAH! I did not know about your Potato Head collection. That sounds really fun!
